Update the registry
Register an open problem or update its solutions through a GitHub pull request.
Create or update an entry
Each problem has one JSON registry entry. The first PR defines the open problem; later PRs update the same entry with solutions and verification evidence.
Create registry entry on GitHub
For a new problem, copy the Question record template to registry/<slug>.json. Choose the next unused numbered ID in registration order and set registered_at, then set exact definitions, requested result, acceptance criteria and dated literature context. Start with an empty solutions array.
For a solution, append a Solution record template to that entry, or update an existing solution under its stable ID. Link to the proof, code and tests in your research repository at a full Git commit. Preserve the problem definition and other solutions; use null for unknown provenance.
The same entry covers every status: an empty solution list means Unsolved; a claimed complete result is Solution submitted; Lean kernel evidence supports Lean checked; merger into Problem-Reductions supports Integrated. Maintainers review evidence for status changes.
Open a pull request
Commit the entry in your fork and Open a pull request to main. Use the same PR template for a new problem, solution or status update. Follow the contribution guide for validation.
After maintainer review and merge, the next website build displays the entry's current status and refreshes the combined registry.json.
